RNDC Valentine’s Weekend Engagement @ Harris Theater

2295_proddetailThis Valentine’s Day weekend, River North Dance Company and Harris Theater have you covered with a variety of new shows! Robert Battle, returns to River North Chicago to follow 2008’s exhilarating Train with the world premiere of Ella, celebrating the scat vocals of Ella Fitzgerald. Following her recent success with American Ballet Theatre,  Lauri Stallings, returns to debut a world premiere entitled Suppose. The critically acclaimed piece, Forbidden Boundaries by Artistic Director Frank Chaves and crowd favorite, Evolution of a Dream by Sherry Zunker return to round out the Company’s 20th Anniversary season.

Through our printworks division, we’ve printed the memorable and eye catching RNDC poster to place in key locations around the city. Keep and eye out for the posters, and if you haven’t decided what to do on Valentine’s Day, be sure to grab tickets for you and your special someone to these special events!

Disney on Ice: Let’s Celebrate!

44083aThe newest Disney On Ice spectacular promises to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! featuring a magical montage of first-time and perennially popular Disney characters celebrating holidays and festivals from around the world.

We helped out our friends at Feld Entertainment by printing handbills and posters to be distributed throughout the suburbs advertising the upcoming performances. Also, if you and your family attended Curious George this past weekend at the Sears Centre, you probably saw our street team in action passing out Disney On Ice handbills. Let’s Celebrate starts today, so be sure to get tickets before they are gone!

Koosil-ja Hwang @ The Dance Center of Columbia College

Koosil-ja SPRINGNew York based performance artist Koosil-ja Hwang will present a new multimedia performance piece at The Dance Center of Columbia College. Using dance, electronic music, and live camera work, Blocks of Continuality/Body, Image, and Algorithm tells three simultaneous stories simulating the coexistence of the digital and flesh worlds. Koosil-ja Hwang will only be giving 3 performances at the Dance Center, so be sure to reserve your tickets right away. This is an exciting performance you won’t want to miss.

North & Clark Cafe @ the Chicago History Museum

image_previewWe work regularly with the Chicago History Museum on a variety of promotional distributions, but now we’ll be helping them with a unique street promotion on election day. This Tuesday, we’ll be working in conjunction with their North & Clark Cafe to distribute coffee and muffin samples to voters who make it out to the polling stations early.  There are two places to vote (the Latin School & the Chicago History Museum) and we’ll have teams at both locations handing out free samples to all who brave the weather to cast their ballots. The cafe will also have special hours that day (they’ll be open at 6am), so if you dig the samples, head over to grab yourself a proper coffee and breakfast.

North & Clark Cafe is located in the Chicago History Museum at 1601 N. Clark and is open daily from 9:30am-3pm Moday through Saturday, 12pm-4pm on Sundays.

Windy City Rollers @ UIC Pavilion

wcrAt the end of the month, skating insanity will be unleashed at the UIC Pavilion as The Windy City Rollers host their first match of the new decade. Founded 5 years ago, The Windy City Rollers have been gaining quit a bit of momentum as of late thanks to lots of press, a feature film or two about roller derby, and the grassroots fan foundation that started it all.

We’re very excited to be working with The Windy City Rollers on their upcoming matches.  Our team will be making the rounds armed with posters and handbills hitting up locations in the city, northshore, and college campuses, so keep keep your eyes peeled, and be sure to check out the ladies of WCR battle it out!

A Love Lost Life @ The Theatre Building

allposter4web_164x0A Love Lost Life explores the bonds and barriers between fathers and sons manifesting in Brando’s own efforts to understand fatherhood. The 90-minute biopic reveals his feelings towards his father and his confusion about being a father to his own children. Brando’s final years inspired the title and focus.

Featuring four separate actors portraying Brando at different ages,  A Love Lost Life paints a unique portrait of one of Hollywood’s most infamous stars. We’ll be launching a distribution campaign in support of this upcoming production. If you are a Brando fan, than be sure to get your tickets to this show!

Wilson Wants It All @ The House Theatre

show-iconWilson Wants It All is set in the not-too-distant future where America is once again on the brink of civil war. One man decides the future of a nation as he manipulates the fate of twin girls, separated at birth and caught on either side of this escalating conflict.

If you visit The House Theatre’s website now, you can post and leave comments about what you think the world will be like in 30 years, and your ideas could be used in the actual show!  We’re in the middle of a distribution campaign in support of Wilson Wants It All, bringing posters and handbills throughout the city. Mrs. Caliban @ Lifeline Theater

mrsc_01The latest production on the Lifeline Theatre’s stage is one you won’t want to miss. Dorothy is locked in a lifeless marriage of empty domestic ritual until a fugitive from another world arrives on her doorstep. With him, she finds forbidden love and experiences a rebirth of her spirit, as she learns to question her assumptions about the world.

We just wrapped up working with Lifeline on their family oriented show The Last of the Dragons. Now, we’ll be distributing handbills and posters in support of Mrs. Caliban throughout the northside area including Edgewater, Uptown, and Rogers Park. Be sure to get your tickets before it’s too late!

Mrs. Caliban is at the Lifeline Theatre February 5th through March 28th.

January Distribution for The DCA Theatre

Hopper_largeThe DCA Theatre is always hosting uniquely original productions. Each season,they accepts proposals from Chicago’s emerging and developing theater companies who wish to bring their innovative productions downtown to the Storefront Theater. Currently, the theatre is in the middle of The (edward) Hopper Project presented by the WNEP Theater. Upcoming performances include Wiggerlover [White Boy + Black Dad = Grey Areas], Beautiful City, and coming this spring, Cabaret.

We are working in conjunction with The DCA Theatre, distributing their season brochures all over the Chicagoland area.  Be sure to pick one up in order to find out more about what The DCA Theatre has to offer.
