Today, tickets for the Dave Matthews Band at Alpine Valley, and First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre went on sale!   DMB is known for their gargantuan summer tours and with supporting acts ranging from Femi Kuti to Jason Mraz, these shows are sure to sell out quick.  In order to promote the shows and today’s onsale, we launched a huge streetmarketing campaign in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison consisting of flyer and poster distribution.  In anticipation of the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, we hung posters in pubs and Irish bars in each city. DMB’s 2009 summer tour kicks off April 14th at Madison Square Garden.

One of the most loved musicals is back for a limited engagement.  Don Quixote and his friends return for Chamber Opera Chicago’s production of Man of La Mancha.  Winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Composer and Lyricist, Man of La Mancha. has been thrilling audiences for almost 50 years. Our streetmarketing distribution will primarily be composed of poster distribution in Chicago. With only two dates, this show is sure to be sold out, so be sure to get tickets while they last.

Man of La Mancha is at the Athenaeum Theatre March 21-22.

Why Literally Sexy 2? Well, as the title says “Because it feels so good.”  This late night variety show is back for two nights only in April.  Yesterday, we began poster distribution for the show that combines burlesque, bondage, erotica, and comedy.  Sequels are always bigger and badder so be sure to check out the show. If you do manage to get tickets, make it a point to arrive at 9:30pm to take advantage of drink specials while browsing a selection of erotic items from G Boutique.

Literally Sexy 2 is at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theatre April 3rd & 10th.

 Chicago continues to be one of the most popular shows on Broadway.  The limited run took place here in the city of Chicago, and featured John O’Hurley (from Seinfeld and Dancing with the Stars fame)as Billy Flynn.  For the two weeks it was in town, we performed poster distribution in order to make everyone aware of the show. Winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and a Grammy, Chicago continues to be a big draw to audiences here, and around he world. Be sure to catch it next time it blows through town.

Do I really need to say more?  The festival that started the trend of hosting a musical blow out in a single location that would later influence  Lollapalooza, and Pitchfork Fest, is back once again. The dates are set, the lineup is announced, and Chicago will soon be blanketed with flyers and posters .  We have been put in charge of mass distribution to get the word out on the now 3-day fest, and we’ll be at shows and retail locations so often that it will be hard to miss us.   

Coachella takes place April 17th-19th in Indio, CA.

Since October of last year, the MCA has been sponsored by local music venues who present their favorite local musicians in Puck’s Cafe.  Magical Musical Showcase has been presented by Metro, Schubas, and Lampo, and are slated for two more events.  Our team will be hitting up different shows around the city, including Tapes n Tapes and The Bad Plus, handing out MMS posters.  Be sure to look for us, and don’t forget to grab a poster! Oh, and these events are of course, free.

Magical Musical Showcase is at the MCA in Puck’s Cafe on March 24 and April 28th.

This play about racial segregation in 1963 Atlanta, is brought to life at the Goodman Theatre. For Magnolia, our retail team will be out and about in Chicago distributing posters to several locations, which you should be seeing. Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the Tony Award-winning director of August: Osage County, Magnolia can be seen every Sunday for just $20.  This price is based on availability, so be sure to get your tickets while they last.

Magnolia is at the Goodman Theatre in the Albert March 14th through April 19th.

Lillstreet is all about dropping knowledge on new and experienced artists.  The spring semester is right around the corner, and there are a wide variety of classes being offered at Lillstreet.  Whether you’re an adult that wants to be a 1st time jeweler, or want to get your child on the multimedia art kick, they offer it all.  If you can’t get your child signed up for the spring classes, Lillstreet also has their summer camp 2009 program coming up.  Camps include Wheelthrowing, and Egyptian Camp.

Lillstreet spring classes begin March 23rd, summer camps start  June 8th.

This week is shaping up to be pretty busy for us, especially because we’ll be assisting with an event almost 2000 miles away.  Starting on Friday, the Natural Product Expo West will descend upon the Anaheim Convention Center in California.  You wouldn’t guess it, but we do dabble in the promotion and product sampling of Rachel’s Cottage Cheese & Yogurt.  Our staff will be there giving out samples, and informing the attendees about the benefits of Rachel’s all natural dairy products.  If you’re in the area, and are into natural health products, this is a yearly event you won’t want to miss.

The 2009 Natural Products Expo West is at the Anaheim Convention Center March 6th-8th.
