I spoke briefly last week about Millennium Park’s upcoming presentation of Teatr Zar’s Caesarean Section and our development of a Polish Route to help them best reach the Polish National community within Chicago. We completed the route last week and are confident that our outreach has already raised awareness for the upcoming shows.
Millennium Park is rounding out its fall and winter theater season with Poland’s ground-breaking troupe, Teatr Zar, and their U.S. premiere of Caesarean Section. This international theater company, never before seen in Chicago, is widely recognized for fusing movement and music with haunting images. Audiences will have a chance to experience this compelling production from intimate seating on the stage behind the Jay Pritzker Pavilion’s glass doors. In Caesarean Section, Teatr Zar explores the question of freedom and its limitations, and draws on the music of Corsica, with Bulgarian, Romanian, Icelandic and Chechen songs interwoven.
Caesarian Section will be running from Thursday, November 12 through Friday, November 14th. Tickets are $35 and more information can be found by clicking here.
