Watch out L. Ron Hubbard followers!  The show that dares to poke fun at Scientology comes to the Northshore just in time for the holidays!  The Next Theatre is proud to present Kyle Jarrow’s holiday hit! Eight  kids star in this hilarious musical parody celebrating the life of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The controversial teachings of the church are dissected against the backdrop of a traditional nativity play.

We have been distributing flyers and posters throughout the city and the Northshore.  Considered an instant cult classic, AVMUCSP is only playing for a limited time, so be sure to see it before it’s gone, or it gets shut down by the Church of Scientology!

Ever wanted to see what a tiny version of the White House would look like on the inside?  This month, the Museum of Science and Industry presents White House: A Look Inside.  The 60-by-13 foot, 1:12 scale replica is also accompanied by a photographic timeline, which chronicles it’s original construction, all the way up to present times.

To help promote this exhibit, we printed posters that will be distributed around the city, White House: A Look Inside is temporary, and your last chance to see it will be Presidents Day, February 15 2010, so make sure you check it out before it’s gone!

Broadway in Chicago brings it’s latest musical to the Cadillac Palace Theatre stage! Lookingglass brings their latest production to the stage this holiday season. Using myth, visual metaphor, song and gravity-defying choreography, Icarus explores a father’s need to have his child succeed, the psychological desire to take to the air, and the dizzying despair of falling.

Saturday marks the premiere of this Lookingglass original play, and we will be hitting the streets to distribute promotional materials throughout the city.  Keep an eye out for handbill flyers in your neighborhood, and be sure to pick up your tickets right away!

This Christmas season, American Theatre Company puts a unique spin on a holiday favorite. ATC transforms into a 1940′s radio studio to tell Capra’s classic story of one man’s effect on his community. This year ATC brings new life to this holiday tradition with a new cast, new Foley sound effects, and new scenes.

We always enjoy working on unique theater projects, and are in the middle of distributing posters and flyers in the city and the north shore suburbs for A Wonderful Life.

Last time we spoke of Lillstreet, we mentioned that they were beginning their annual holiday show lasting all throughout the holiday season.  Now, we’ll be issuing that reminder throughout the city as we distribute Lillstreet’s holiday postcards (pictured left).  If you frequent the northwest side of the city, you have probably seen these guys laid out.  Be sure to take advantage of the special sales and discounts while simultaneously supporting local artists and their crafty endeavours.

Being Star Wars fans, you can bet we were pretty excited when the NCFPA asked us to lend a hand promoting the upcoming One Man Star Wars Trilogy performance. Based on the original trilogy series, Charles Ross acts out all three films with no costumes or props and for 75 minutes, takes the audience on an intense and hysterically funny ride.

We’ll be distributed 10,000 flyers this past Sunday at the United Center for the Star Wars Live concert series.  Our staff was dressed as characters from the films, distributing the handbills to all of those in attendance.

Returning for it’s fourth year here in Chicago, The Snow Queen is a wonderful holiday show for the entire family.  Based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Anderson, The Snow Queen is brought to life on stage with a wonderous musical score and amazing puppetry that will entertain audiences of all ages. In order to help Victory Gardens promote this highly anticipated production, we will be launching an aggressive retail distribution campaign, in addition to executing a hand-to-hand distribution downtown near Water Tower Place Mall.  Keep an eye out for our staff this Saturday, and don’t be afraid to grab a flyer and pose for a photo as well!

The classical ballet production makes its way to the Francis W. Parker School for the holiday season. As part of Chicago Festival Ballet, The Nutcracker will be appearing for an afternoon performance, featuring world class dancers and some of Chicagoland’s most talented dance students.

We’ve begun a massive poster campaign in order to help bolster the profile of the performance. Since this is a one-time only engagement, tickets are sure to become scarce fairly quick.  Get yours before it’s too late!
