Toddlin’ Thursdays @ Navy Pier

toddlin_logoNow in its third season, Navy Pier presents a host of special event programming that features Chicago’s most talented children’s entertainers and educators. Toddlin’ Thursdays will thrill audiences with “live” interactive performances, and exciting entertainment on the Family Pavilion Stage. With activities that include real-life characters and storytelling, Navy Pier is the place to be.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been involved with Toddlin’ Thursdays, and we can’t wait to start working with the folks at Navy Pier once again.  Utilizing our Kids Route, we’ll be distributing 3000 handbills advertising the upcoming family events to locations throughout Chicago.

Blue Door @ Victory Gardens Biograph Theatre

Blue door main.previewThis terrific and much praised production makes it’s way to the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater for its Chicago debut. A soul searching journey begins when an African-American professor is left by his wife due to his reluctance to embrace his identity. Blue Door is a beautiful exploration of family and identity that will resonate with anyone who has ever struggled to live with, or escape the past.

We are scheduled to hit the streets in the next few weeks, and we’ll be out distributing handbills and brochures for Victory Gardens in support of the Chicago premiere. Blue Door is written by Tanya Barfield and directed by Andrea J. Dymond. Get tickets while you still can!

Million Dollar Quartet Campus Distribution

MDQ_720x480_TVScreen_v2_002We previously mentioned that we will be distributing coasters to bars and venues in and around the Apollo Theater in support of the latest show extension of MDQ. In addition to that, we are also targeting Chicago campuses including Columbia College, Loyola, and DePaul for a massive poster distribution. Our teams will be out hanging up posters which feature removable tabs that you will want to get your hands on since they allow students to purchase $20 tickets to the show. Be on the look out these next few weeks for the posters, and take advantage of this great deal!

February at the Chicago History Museum

CHM-logo_blueFebruary will officially mark the end of Lincoln’s bicentennial celebration. But even though “Honest Abe” turns 201, the Chicago History Museum will still be hosting several exciting events in February. On President’s Day, celebrate the legacy of the nation’s presidents with the entire family through storytelling, dramatic performances, craft activities, and music by the Michael Teolis Singers. Several events revolving around candy including A Sweet Kinda Town and Classic Candy comes to CHM, as well as panel discussions about online dating and the mortgage crisis.

CHM has tasked us with manufacturing and distributing handbills which advertise the above mentioned events. We’ll be out and about in various neighborhoods and locations in Chicago. Be sure to pick one up, and find out more about what’s happening next month at the Chicago History Museum.

At Work Forum @ the Chicago Cultural Center

At_Work480x350_B1Throughout 2010, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs will present At Work Forums on various issues related to Studio Chicago. This month, the Forum will host a panel discussing successful artwalks and the development of neighborhood business.

Artists at Work offers a variety of resources and helpful tools to artists of all mediums, and we are excited to be working with them on this project. Utilizing our printworks division, we will be printing bookmarks that will then be distributed all over town. Be sure to pick one up, and check out what Artists at Work can offer you!

LUCID-webLucid tells the story of Peter Moore, a discontented artist who begins to experiment with the art of lucid dreaming, fulfilling his wildest fantasies with an imagined mistress. Soon, Peter discovers that he may have permanently blurred the line that separates dream from reality.

Million Dollar Quartet Coasters!!!

MDQ is back for another extension, this time through the month of March! We have played a significant role in the promotion of this production over the past year, doing everything from hand-2-hand distributions to banner back pack promos, to on-the-street video interviews.  This time around, we’ll be distributing coasters to bars, pubs, theaters, and other venues in the city. MaTEENée Series @ Steppenwolf Theatre

familypageThe MaTEENée Series is a special opportunity for high school students to score a $15 ticket to a Steppenwolf production, meet Chicago’s most celebrated artists and connect with other teens who are passionate about theatre. Each MaTEENée ticket also includes dinner after the show.  MaTEENée shows this season include American Buffalo, A Separate Piece, The Brother/Sister Plays, and Endgame.
