Set at an all-boys boarding school in New England during World War II, A Separate Peace is a fascinating look into the dark side of adolescence. The complex bonds of friendship between shy, studious Gene and his athletic daredevil roommate Phineas are tested—with shocking consequences.

The spring session for Old Town School of Folk Music’s adult classes is now weeks away.  Offering classes on dance, instruments, and singing, it’s perfect place to flex your artistic muscles. Now is the chance to sign up for various guitar classes, including Lead for Ladies. Or, you can even learn exotic instruments like the djembe.

We just received an allotment of brochures advertising the dates and times for all of the upcoming classes at OTSFM. Be sure to pick one up at your local hang outs; the brochures will be all over town!

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to manage an event at the  annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival in Miami in support of Cafe Bustelo. If you were lucky enough to be in Florida and attended the fest, you most likely saw our staff passing out postcards that were redeemable at Cafe Bustelo’s flagship store for a free espresso. The staff was able to soak up the sun while promoting one of the best brands of Cuban coffee.

Now, through March 28th, you can see the production that has become a musical sensation! Million Dollar Quartet features music from Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins in the musical based on the only meeting and recording of all four legends!

Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s Short Shakespeare! productions is perfect for audiences of all ages. The entertaining tale unfolds as identical twin brothers, and their identical twin servants, are lost in a mixed-up world of mistaken identities. Following each performance, audiences are welcome to join the cast for a post-show discussion.

The American Theater Company is proud to present a new comedy that offers a hilarious look at our modern world. When Mom and Dad’s problems with Junior escalate, the advice from the world around them is to medicate. From writer Lisa Loomer comes Distracted, a fast-paced comedy which explores the challenges of modern parenting in suburban America.

ATC is always pushing boundaries, offering new and exciting shows to their audiences and we’re very happy to be working with them on another fun project. We’ll be distributing a large allotment of posters and handbills in the city and north shore to help bring more attention to ATC’s latest production. Sharon Isbin has been hailed as “the preeminent guitarist of our time” by Boston Magazine. Now, the Grammy Award-winning classical guitarist and violinist Mark O’Connor team up for their Chicago premiere at the Harris Theater!. Joined by several other musicians, the performance will highlight Isbin’s new album, Journey to the New World.

Our friends at the Old Town School of Folk Music are very excited to bring this year’s Spring Festival of African Music to life!  Starting this month and running through April, the festival will bring some of the finest talent to the city of Chicago.  Acts include Baaba Maal, Tinariwen, and Bela Fleck’s The African Project.

The NBA Allstar Jam Session is in Dallas this coming weekend! We had the pleasure of supporting last year’s events in Phoenix, and this year’s event is sure to be just as fun and exciting!  Hosted by Adidas, the NBA Allstar Jam Session allows fans to play against actually NBA legends.  To help execute these events, we’ll be working in conjunction with our chums over at the Action Marketing Group. If you are in the Dallas area this weekend , be sure to check it out!
