The Good Negro @ Goodman Theatre

May 05 2010

good_negro_165x237This gripping new play uncovers the human story at the heart of the 1960s American Civil Rights Movement. Tensions build in the increasingly hostile South as a trio of emerging black leaders attempts to conquer their individual demons amid death threats from the Ku Klux Klan and wire taps by the FBI. Through personal and intimate stories inspired by the political upheavals of the era, The Good Negro examines the human frailties behind the historic headlines.

We are beginning to work to distribute posters advertising The Good Negro throughout the city of Chicago. Keep an eye out for our staff in action as they blanket the city with posters. Be sure to get your tickets now, and check out how to be a member of the Goodman Theater and take advantage of the amazing deals the theater has to offer.

The Good Negro is at Goodman Theatre in the Albert May 1st through June 6th. Please visit www.goodmantheatre.org for more information.
