The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, the premier professional beach volleyball tour in the country, boasts the sport’s biggest competitive purse to date, and world-class athletes who have excelled in the outdoor and indoor game.

This summer, AVP returns with their annual summer tour and we’ll be working on the west coast promoting these events, at the Huntington Beach Open!  In addition to being at Huntington Beach doing hand to hand distributions, we’ll also be executing a retail distribution campaign as well. For the past two weeks direction has been working with our good friends at Mirrorball to bring The Lost Art of Cinco to bars and venues throughout the Chicagoland area. We’ve been having a lot of fun leading these activations and coordinating the logistics for the Aztec Goddess of Cinco as she represents her tribe in celebration of Cinco de Mayo and Dos XX. The Aztec inspired promotion is travelling from bar to bar to ‘open the skies’ for the celebration of Cinco de Mayo with spiritual dancing and drumming.

Come Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and visit the Goddess and her maidens TONIGHT at Cactus, Tilted Kilt, Bull & Bear, and The Boundary. We’ll be making our stops starting at 5:30PM and will continue through the evening. Don’t forget to ask one of our maidens for your own complimentary Dos Equis!

If you’re a fan of the Mexican national soccer team, and you’re going to be in New York City, you will not want to miss this. Today, fans are invited to an autograph signing session with the members of Team Mexico at the adidas Sport Performance Store located at 610 Broadway in NYC.

We worked very quickly with our friends at the Action Marketing Group in order to pull staff together for the autograph session. This is a must see for any soccer fan so be sure to bring your favorite jersey to be autographed by Team Mexico!

The Team Mexico autograph session takes place today from 4:30 to 5:30 P.M at the adidas Sport Performance Store located at 610 Broadway in NYC.

Last month, we worked on two incredible events with adidas to roll out their new MiCoach Running System. This week, we’ll be in Boston with Action Marketing Group launching another initiative coinciding with the Boston Marathon. We’ll have teams at the John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo demonstrating the MiCoach system as well as adidas apparel. Outside of the convention we’ll have roaming teams out and about giving away free swag and signing people up for special limited time offers. The weekend of fun will come to end on Monday at the Boston Marathon as we have staff there distributing shirts, yoga mats, and even applying temporary tattoos!

The John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo is at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston April 16th through the 18th. The Boston Marathon takes place on April 19th.

This week, we are working with our good friends at the Action Marketing Group as part of adidas’ new campaign for their miCoach products and website. We organized staff in Portland, OR and Jacksonville, FL who are demonstrating the miCoach gear and system.  They will also be stationed at annual races (Shamrock Run in Portland, Gate River Run in Jacksonville) in order to pass out promo materials, and get runners excited about miCoach.  If you’re in either city this weekend, be sure to stop by and see our teams in action!

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to manage an event at the  annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival in Miami in support of Cafe Bustelo. If you were lucky enough to be in Florida and attended the fest, you most likely saw our staff passing out postcards that were redeemable at Cafe Bustelo’s flagship store for a free espresso. The staff was able to soak up the sun while promoting one of the best brands of Cuban coffee.

Just a reminder to our friends around the country; direction tour marketing can manage and staff events in practically every major city. Be sure to think of us when you need seasoned brand ambassadors for your next event!

We work regularly with the Chicago History Museum on a variety of promotional distributions, but now we’ll be helping them with a unique street promotion on election day. This Tuesday, we’ll be working in conjunction with their North & Clark Cafe to distribute coffee and muffin samples to voters who make it out to the polling stations early.  There are two places to vote (the Latin School & the Chicago History Museum) and we’ll have teams at both locations handing out free samples to all who brave the weather to cast their ballots. The cafe will also have special hours that day (they’ll be open at 6am), so if you dig the samples, head over to grab yourself a proper coffee and breakfast.

North & Clark Cafe is located in the Chicago History Museum at 1601 N. Clark and is open daily from 9:30am-3pm Moday through Saturday, 12pm-4pm on Sundays.

If you happen to be in Salt Lake City over the next two weeks come visit us at Provo Towne Centre, South Towne Center, or Fashion Place Mall and have your holiday gifts wrapped by the Utah Jazz Dancers! We’ve teamed up with 361 Experiential and will be working with them to execute 3 mall activations in Salt Lake City on December 12th and December 13th.

Qwest Communications will be hosting the Utah Jazz Dancers who will be wrapping your Christmas gifts for a small donation to the South Valley Boys and Girls Club. While in line, Qwest is offering to review your bill to see if they can apply any savings on your account. Regardless if they find savings or not, you’ll get a pair of tickets to an upcoming Utah Jazz game.

Being Star Wars fans, you can bet we were pretty excited when the NCFPA asked us to lend a hand promoting the upcoming One Man Star Wars Trilogy performance. Based on the original trilogy series, Charles Ross acts out all three films with no costumes or props and for 75 minutes, takes the audience on an intense and hysterically funny ride.

We’ll be distributed 10,000 flyers this past Sunday at the United Center for the Star Wars Live concert series.  Our staff was dressed as characters from the films, distributing the handbills to all of those in attendance.

One Man Star Wars Trilogy is at the Northshore Center for Performing Arts May 22nd at 5pm and 8pm.  For more information, visit www.northshorecenter.org.

If you spent anytime this past weekend near Water Tower Place you may have come across our adidas street teams promoting adidas’ relationship with the NBA with a fun call-to-action retail promotion created by Action Marketing Group. This past weekend and next weekend too our street teams are distributing go-cards to consumers along Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile. Shoppers can then redeem our go-cards for a token at the adidas Sport Performance store to use in a giant gum ball machine. Instead of gum balls, the machine distributes NBA bouncy balls and if you’re lucky enough to get a black bouncy ball you win a $100 gift card to use at the adidas sport performance store!
