Lillstreet – Spring 2010

They offer adult classes and workshops for all skill levels in ceramics, metal works, jewelery, painting & drawing, printmaking, textiles, and glass. Each department offers first time artist classes that help beginners to explore a new medium in a relaxed environment. They also offer camps and classes for children of all ages.

Spring classes for Lillstreet start up at the end of March, so you should be sure to pick one of their brand  new course catalogs! We are set begin bringing these to all corners of the city. If you have ever wanted to learn an artistic craft, or hone your already developed artistic abilities, now is the time to sign up!

The entertaining tale unfolds as identical twin brothers, and their identical twin servants, are lost in a mixed-up world of mistaken identities. Following each performance, audiences are welcome to join the cast for a post-show discussion.

CST always offers quality productions that are enjoyable for adults and children alike. For their latest show, we’ll be distributing posters and handbills to family oriented locations and neighborhoods in the city.  Be sure to bring your family out  for a fun filled performance not to be missed!

Disney on Ice: Let’s Celebrate!

44083aThe newest Disney On Ice spectacular promises to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! featuring a magical montage of first-time and perennially popular Disney characters celebrating holidays and festivals from around the world.

We helped out our friends at Feld Entertainment by printing handbills and posters to be distributed throughout the suburbs advertising the upcoming performances. Also, if you and your family attended Curious George this past weekend at the Sears Centre, you probably saw our street team in action passing out Disney On Ice handbills. Let’s Celebrate starts today, so be sure to get tickets before they are gone!

Yo Gabba Gabba @ Rosemont Theatre

tv_new_yo_gabba_gabbaRosemont Theatre has ben keeping us VERY busy this week as we visit children’s and family friendly locations throughout the North Shore suburbs, NW suburbs, and the city to support the upcoming Yo Gabba Gabba performance at Rosemont Theatre. The series premiered in 2007 and has since become a TV sensation. My son loves it and I have to say, I’ve begun to enjoy it as well. They have a great series of guests and their sets and concepts are allot of fun. I’m not sure what the Live show has in store but you can bet that my son will be there with Dad in tow.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live will be at the Rosemont Theatre for two shows on Saturday, December 5th. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

Treasure Island @ Lifeline Theatre

ti_02This month, we start promoting the upcoming production of Treasure Island at Lifeline Theatre. Based on the amazing tale by Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island follows the adventures of young Jim Hawkins, and his encounter with the infamous Long John Silver.  Located in Rogers Park, Lifeline was founded in 1982, and is committed to promoting the arts in that neighborhood.  We will be visiting Rogers Park, and the surrounding areas of Andersonville, Edgewater, and Uptown distributing promotional materials to local retailers, venues, restaurants, and other high traffic areas.

Lifeline Theatre presents Treasure Island September 11th through November 1st.

The Hundred Dresses @ Royal George Theatre

hdpagesChicago Children’s Theatre is renowned for there family friendly productions.  This fall, their new musical, The Hundred Dresses graces the stage of the Royal George Theatre.  Written by Ralph Covert and G. Riley Mills,  The Hundred Dresses is adapted from the classic book by Eleanor Etes.  We are beginning a major flyer and poster campaign for the upcoming performances, and will be traveling all over the city and north suburbs in order to distribute materials .  Tickets are on sale now, so be sure to get yours today!

The Hundred Dresses is at the Royal George Theatre September 25th through November 1st.

080808_wigglewormsBesides being a great place for live shows and adult classes, Old Town School of Folk Music offers exciting classes for children of all ages.  Besides getting your child started early on in dance, music, or song, these classes also offer parents a great opportunity to interact and meet one another as well.  We’ve just begun distributing brochures for both Wiggleworms and Kids Classes all over the city.  Pick one up, and enroll your youngster today!

Kids Classes and Wiggleworms at the Old Town School of Folk begin August 31st.
