The Harris Theater is proud to present world renowned pianist, Lang Lang. For his first appearance,  Lang Lang will perform an impressive two concerto program under his mentor, conductor Christoph Eschenbach. The performance will be accompanied by the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra.

We are looking forward to working with the Harris Theater again in promoting this exciting new show. We have been distributing flyers and posters around the city. Sharon Isbin has been hailed as “the preeminent guitarist of our time” by Boston Magazine. Now, the Grammy Award-winning classical guitarist and violinist Mark O’Connor team up for their Chicago premiere at the Harris Theater!. Joined by several other musicians, the performance will highlight Isbin’s new album, Journey to the New World.

Just in time for the holiday season, Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire makes it’s way to Harris Theater for a one night stand. In this new production, director Mark DeChiazza uses movement and gesture to connect to the human core of this remarkable melodrama. Dancer Elyssa Dole and legendary soprano Lucy Shelton join Eighth Blackbird for the performance.

In order to help promote, Pierrot we will be distributing posters and flyers in the Chicagoland area. We work fairly regularly with Harris Theater, and are excited to be on board for this latest project.

Chicago’s own Corky Siegal brings his Chamber Blues Band to the Wilmette Theatre’s stage this September. Mixing classical music with the blues, the Chamber Blues Band has created it’s own unique genre of music. “A genuine hybrid … complex … clever and ambitious” says Bill Kohlhaase of the LA Times. Corky Siegal’s Chamber Blues Band plays the Wilmette Theatre on September 5th.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Grant Park Music Festival.  The largest free classical music festival in the country, GPMF draws thousands of people every summer for a variety of performances.  This year, be sure to catch Khachaturian’s Spartacus with violinist Karen Gomyo, Ingrid Fliter, the 2006 Gilmore Artist Award-winning pianist performing Schuman’s Piano Concerto in A Minor, and of course the grand finale, Beethoven’s 9th.

The Grant Park Music Festival runs through August 15th.
