As the year goes on, and we get closer to summer, expect to see more and more fantastic shows roll through the Old Town School of Folk Music. Spring performances by King Sunny Ade, Rahim Alhaj, and Les Primitifs du Futur will lead us right into summer.

We have launched a major distribution campaign in Chicago, distributing the mid season brochures for OTSFM. Be sure to pick one up to what other shows the famous instition has in store for us this year!

This spring is looking like the best yet for Old Town School of Folk Music’s concert line up! With names like Booker T, John Prine, and Bela Fleck (pictured left), OTSFM is setting itself up for a very busy season.

We’ll be starting our distribution for OTSFM this week, bringing spring concert brochures all over the city.  Tickets for the spring concerts went on sale to the general public this  past Friday, but if you are a member of OTSFM, you can purchase tickets now!

What do you get when you combine  Jim James, Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and M. Ward? Monsters of Folk of course!  This powerhouse super-group has been generating buzz for a while now.  Their debut album has garnered high praise among critics, making their tour highly anticipated.  We are in the middle of promoting for their upcoming appearance in Chicago, and will be passing out flyers at this weekend’s Wilco shows.  If you see us, be sure to drop by, say “hi”, and most importantly: grab a flyer!  You’ll notice the quality craftsmanship of the materials because they were all printed in house!

To help garner more attention for Bob Dylan & His Band’s three day residency at the Aragon, our friends at the Advice Agency commissioned us to print and distribute posters for the concerts. We printed a few hundred, and then proceeded to blanket the city with them.  Thanks to the addition of our printworks division, direction has become a one stop for all of your promotional needs.  Tickets for these performances are almost all gone, so be sure to grab yours in order to see Dylan in this intimate setting.

In June, we began a massive distribution for Old Town School of Folk Music’s annual Folk and Roots Festival.  The event was this past weekend, and it was a great success!  People are still talking about the magnificiant performance of Black Joe Lewis, and the amazing set by Karsh Kale.  For those of you not able to attend, there’s always next year!
