Though it may not be one of the first places you look to for entertainment, the Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills programs a diverse and interesting arts calender. The first Saturday in April the Mystical Arts of Tibet will bring their traditional temple music and mystical masked dances to the school. The following week the Chicago Tap Theatre will perform. If you’re interested in seeing something outside of the normal theater fare, these shows might be for you.

The direction staff has utilized our suburban routes for this theater outpost.

The Mystical Arts of Tibet performs Saturday, April 2 and the Chicago Tap Theatre performs Saturday, April 9 at the Moraine Valley Community College, both in the Dorothy Menker Theater. Please visit morainevalley.edu for tickets for both performances.

Fred Garbo’s Inflatable Circus is a show that crosses boundaries of age, language and gender. It’s pleasing to the eye as long as you can see. It features inflatable objects. While that’s clear in the title alone, it’s not just balloons. Think of the bouncy house that are at children’s parties. Now put a man in the structure of that house. Now imagine that man as a flexible gymnast. That should give you an idea of what the bouncy house will turn into. It’s fun. Pure and simple, it will bring a smile to your face. Come see the production that has been featured on both “The Late Show with David Letterman” and at the Kennedy Center.

Direction has distributed materials for this one-off event throughout the Southwest suburbs. We also created a Southwest Family route for this show and are now offering it to all clients.
