This month, the Chicago History Museum will proudly present the sixteenth annual Making History Awards at the Palmer House. This event will celebrate the accomplishments of three individuals and one corporation for their historic contributions to the city and nation. By identifying extraordinary awardees each year, the CHM hopes to make history more personal and emphasize how history is a living and breathing part of our lives.
In addition to the Making History Awards, the CHM has some great events happening in the month of May, including the lecture Making Sense of the Census, Project Sunday’s showing of documentary films, and many others. We’ve been working on our monthly handbill distribution for CHM, delivering materials throughout Chicago. Be sure to grab one and check out what’s happening!

The 45th Annual Chicago Film Festival is currently underway! Our friends at Cinema/Chicago (who curate the festival), were nice enough to contact us in order to enlist our help distributing thousands of film festival guides throughout the city. We targeted college campuses and several different neighborhoods to make sure they had the best exposure possible. Keep an eye out for the schedules and be sure to grab one to see what the festival has to offer.
The 45th Annual Chicago International Film Festival runs through October 22nd.

Seeing a movie on the IMAX screen is quite an experience. If you’ve been to the theater at Chicago Navy Pier, you know how exhilarating it can be. Now, AMC is proud to announce the opening of a brand new IMAX screen at their South Barrington location in the northwest suburbs. Beginning with the release of Monsters vs. Aliens, the new IMAX theater will be screening the latest blockbusters, including Star Trek in May. To help gain exposure for the new theater, we will be launching an aggressive retail distribution and streetmarketing campaign targeting Barrington and the surrounding areas. Be sure to keep an eye out for us.
IMAX AMC 30 in South Barrington is located at 175 Studio Drive.

One of our newer clients, The Wilmette Theatre, is a unique institution in the Chicagoland area. Offering films, live stage productions, and musical performances, WT has established itself as an important part of the theater community. The month off March looks to be a busy one for the “Mette”, which includes the students from the Actors Training Center’s production of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Chicago Kids Company’s Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and of course nightly movie showings including Slumdog Millionaire.
The Wilmette Theatre is located at 1122 Central Ave. in Wilmette.

When we were contacted by The Wimette Theatre, we have to say that we were impressed. Not only has the theater been active in Wimette for almost 100 years, but they take the definition of “theater” to the max. The WT presents movies, live theater and musical performances (Leon Redbone plays there in March) , and it is the home to the Actors Training Center. For our first outing together, we will be distributing posters in Wilmette, Skokie, and the surrounding areas for Cupid Has A Heart On, a musical comedy by the Cupid Players. We hope that this will be the start of a long lasting relationship with Wimette Theatre, and we look forward to working with them in the future.
The Wilmette Theatre is located at 1122 Central Ave. in Wilmette.
The Cupid Players presents Cupid Has A Heart On Friday, February 13th.
