Million Dollar Quartet III-The Revenge!!!

Mar 19 2009

mdq_720x480_tvscreen_v2_002Once, was great.  Twice; even better. But, it’s very rare that audiences get a third chance to see an amazing show.  Million Dollar Quartet has yet again extended its run at Chicago’s Apollo Theatre.  This is your last chance to see the show the Tribune calls “a palpable hit!”. ”Two dozen rock and roots classics performed with rip roaring virtuosity by sensational performers” says the Chicago Sun Times. And Time Out Chicago calls MDQ “as electrifying as holding your finger in a light socket!”  Be sure to check out the musical that recreates “the night rock n’ roll came alive.”

Million Dollar Quartet is at the Apollo Theatre through May 10th.

Mary Poppins @ Cadillac Palace Theatre

Mar 13 2009

shows_marypoppins07Everyone’s favorite flying nanny is back.  The stage production of Mary Poppins combines the original story with the classic Disney film.  We always enjoy working with Broadway in Chicago, and we are executing yet another poster distribution campaign throughout the city. The original Broadway production stars Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee  and will include the songs we all remember, such as “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” and, of course, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

Mary Poppins is at the Cadillac Palace Theatre through July 12th.

Spamalot @ the Auditorium Theatre

Jan 05 2009

215px-spamalotMonty Python and the Holy Grail continues to be one of the funniest films ever made.  When it was “lovingly ripped off”, and turned into a musical called Spamalot four years ago, it became one of the most popular shows, and won a Tony award for best musical.  Now, it is being brought back to Chicago for a short run at the Auditorium Theatre.  If you’re a fan of King Arthur, his band of loyal knights, and killer rabbits, this is a show you must absolutely see.

Dirty Dancing @ Cadillac Palace

Back before the holidays, Cadillac Palace asked us to go out and promote for a special deal they were offering for their production of Dirty Dancing. Unfortunaletly, those days turned out to be Dec. 16th, 17th, and 18th, which was when we got several inches of snow, and the temperature dropped significantly.  Even though it was brutal outside, our teams were still able to promote in the downtown area, and theatre district (you may have seen us wearing pink).  We managed to get the materials out, and the promotion was a huge success.  Since guerrilla street marketing is what we do best, we were able to execute this with no problem, and even though you may have missed us in the street, Cadillac is still offering great deals for the rest of the run.

Dirty Dancing is at the Cadillac Palace until January 17th.

Dark Streets in Chicago

Nov 21 2008

dsposterfinalDark Streets is a brand new movie/musical coming to a theater near you. Unlike Chicago and Moulin Rouge, Dark Streets has a much darker tone. A film-noir story about a wealthy playboy who owns the city’s hottest nightclub, Dark Streets boasts an original score featuring blues legend B.B. King.  To help get the word out, direction will be promoting Dark Streets through retail distribution, and good old fashioned hand-to-hand distribution at several events throughout the city including Lonnie Brooks and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.

Dark Streets opens in December.
