Neighborhoods of the World @ Navy Pier

Jan 27 2011

Chicago is a city of neighborhoods. From el stop to el stop, every ethnic group is represented. It’s easy to stay in the neighborhoods you work and live, forgetting about the rest of what this city has to offer. Starting in February Navy Pier will be highlighting the ethnic neighborhoods that make up the flavor of the city. The first in the Neighborhoods of the World series is Amazing India, celebrating the neighborhood surrounding Devon Avenue. There will be performances by Natya Dance Theatre, Ajit Deshmukh & Vikas Falnikar, Kalapadma Dance Academy, and Ensemble of Ragas featuring Saraswathi Ranganathan, Athrey Nadhan, and Ravi Iyer. Did we mention this event, and all the other events in the series, are free?

Direction is pleased to be promoting the Amazing India event on our Rogers Park, West Rogers Park and Indian specialty routes.

Amazing India is on February 6 at Navy Pier’s Crystal Gardens. Please visit navypier.com for more information.
