The Profiles Theatre is in the midst of the world premiere of “Assisted Living” by Deirdre O’Connor. This is the second production written by O’Connor the Profiles is producing, following the very successful, long-running play, “Jailbait.” The Chicago Tribune gives the play three and a half stars, recommending it for lovers of indie film. “It’s a kind, affectionate and wholly believable drama about everyday struggles, but also a remarkable proficient mystery that, despite its simple setting and quiet tone, never lets you guess where it’s going or what secrets or past sins its characters may soon reveal.”
The direction team has been distributing posters and handbills throughout the more theater loving neighborhoods of the north side.
The world premier of “Assisted Living” will run at The Second Stage until December 18. Tickets are currently on sale for this Profiles Theatre production. Visit profilestheatre.org for tickets and information about other Profiles productions.

Profiles Theatre is staging the midwest premier another intimate drama. “Fifty Words” is about the marriage of Adam and Jan, an overworked professional couple who have the night to themselves while their 9 year old is on his first sleepover. The play is an in depth look into a relationship that isn’t in the best place. It’s about fights, where they start, how they start and why they continue. The Chicago Tribune has praised this intense production. “Such a message might not be your idea of a date night, but if you’re interested in hard truths, “Fifty Words” has plenty to say.”
The direction staff has been distributing posters and handbills for this drama throughout the north side of Chicago.
“Fifty Words” runs until June 26 at the Profiles Theatre. Please visit profilestheatre.org for tickets, show times, reviews and more.

Neil LaBute’s new plays is making it’s Chicago debut at the Profiles Theatre. A story about how a flippant comment can spiral into debates about beauty, loyalty and infidelity, “reasons to be pretty” is a modern, universal story. The Chicago Tribune said, “this cautionary tale not only offers more schandefreude than any other 90 minutes in town, but also has the authentic whiff of a writer who loves probing the reasons to be pretty and the dangers of bringing it up in conversation.” If you’re not a fan of Valentine’s Day and feel like it’s time to look past the superficial, this play may be what you’re looking for.
Direction has distributed materials for this Profiles Theatre production throughout the Northside of Chicago. Direction printworks handled the printing of materials.
“reasons to be pretty” runs until March 13 at the Profiles Theatre. Please visit profilestheatre.org for tickets and information.
