This summer, the world’s most popular jam band has returned for a full blown tour.  Phish will make their way to Alpine Valley for two back to back performances.

Even though these shows aren’t until the end of the summer, we are in the midst of executing a quick distribution in Madison and Milwaukee.  We have teams actively targeting college campuses hanging posters and distributing handbills before classes let out for the summer.  If you’re a student in either of these cities, keep an eye out for out teams, and be sure to say hello!

Summertime means one thing: the start of tour season. This year, two jam band heavyweights take to the road and will make their way to Alpine Valley.  The Dave Matthews Band will be playing two shows July 4th weekend. Jack Johnson, who is touring in support of his latest album To the Sea, will play at the end of July.  100% of his 2010 tour profits will be donated to charity.

Together with Live Nation, we will be promoting both of these shows.  We printed posters for each artist which we are distributing throughout the Chicagoland area.  Both acts are notorious for selling out amphitheaters, so be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible.

What’s to be said about MDQ that we haven’t said before?  The runaway hit musical which is now on Broadway has a new cast and an extended run right here in Chicago! Come see the story of how Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley played at Sun Records’ storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time.

We are working with our friends at Allied Live to launch another poster distribution in Chicago.  We’ve been promoting MDQ since it first began two years ago, and we couldn’t be happier with the shows success. With performances scheduled through September, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t see it!

Our friends My My My are back with a brand new album! In support of Leather Silk My My My will be throwing a record release party to celebrate! Reviews call Leather Silk ” power pop at its finest”, and My My My have been on numerous lists of artists to watch.  We’re excited to be working with them promoting their album, and record release party. You’ve probably seen us before and after concerts in the city distributing handbills. We’ve also launched a poster distribution campaign, visiting venues, record shops, and any other place where music lovers convene.  If you haven’t seen them live, now’s your chance to catch a great Chicago band!

As the year goes on, and we get closer to summer, expect to see more and more fantastic shows roll through the Old Town School of Folk Music. Spring performances by King Sunny Ade, Rahim Alhaj, and Les Primitifs du Futur will lead us right into summer.

We have launched a major distribution campaign in Chicago, distributing the mid season brochures for OTSFM. Be sure to pick one up to what other shows the famous instition has in store for us this year!

Last month, we began working regularly with the folks at live nation promoting a variety of shows. This month, we have already begun several projects with them including Bamboozle and Maxwell/Jill Scott. We will be distributing materials in the city via our regualar retail routes and hand-2-hand  distributions at various show hits.  If you’ve been to concerts as of late, you’ve no doubt seen our teams in action.  We’ll be at 30 Seconds to Mars @ the Aragon, OK GO @ the Metro, and Corrine Bailey Rae @ the Vic to name a few. Australia’s prog rockers make there way stateside for a nationwide tour! Winner’s of several Australian awards including Most Popular Act and Most Popular Live Act, Karnivool will be tooling around the country hitting up several major cities and events including SXSW.

The West-coast band makes it’s way to the Congress Theater at the end of the month! Slightly Stoopid are on a new tour, and you won’t want to miss it!

The intergalactic super group that is Angels and Airwaves comes back to Chicago for another appearance! Made up of Tom DeLonge, David Kennedy, Atom Willard, and Matt Wachter, Angels and Airwaves have been making headlines around the world thanks to their sold out shows and chart topping albums.
