We previously mentioned that we will be distributing coasters to bars and venues in and around the Apollo Theater in support of the latest show extension of MDQ. In addition to that, we are also targeting Chicago campuses including Columbia College, Loyola, and DePaul for a massive poster distribution. Our teams will be out hanging up posters which feature removable tabs that you will want to get your hands on since they allow students to purchase $20 tickets to the show. Be on the look out these next few weeks for the posters, and take advantage of this great deal!

Soon, the unstoppable Million Dollar Quartet will be debuting on Broadway. But, that doesn’t mean the curtain is closing in Chicago just yet. MDQ is back for another extension, this time through the month of March! We have played a significant role in the promotion of this production over the past year, doing everything from hand-2-hand distributions to banner back pack promos, to on-the-street video interviews.  This time around, we’ll be distributing coasters to bars, pubs, theaters, and other venues in the city. If  you happen to spot one, be sure to hold on to it in order to get an $8 discount on select tickets!

This spring is looking like the best yet for Old Town School of Folk Music’s concert line up! With names like Booker T, John Prine, and Bela Fleck (pictured left), OTSFM is setting itself up for a very busy season.

We’ll be starting our distribution for OTSFM this week, bringing spring concert brochures all over the city.  Tickets for the spring concerts went on sale to the general public this  past Friday, but if you are a member of OTSFM, you can purchase tickets now!

If you were at the annual Lights Festival or Thanksgiving Day Parade, there’s a good chance you saw folks wearing Million Dollar Quartet banner packs, and handing out flyers to people waiting patiently for the parade. That was us!  We handed out thousands of flyers (that we printed in house!) which contained $8 off coupons for tickets. MDQ has been running strong for over a year now, and is about to make the jump to New York for a run on Broadway.  We have been involved with the production from day one, and were happy to do a holiday push. If you haven’t checked it out, go and see the show that has become a musical sensation!

To help garner more attention for Bob Dylan & His Band’s three day residency at the Aragon, our friends at the Advice Agency commissioned us to print and distribute posters for the concerts. We printed a few hundred, and then proceeded to blanket the city with them.  Thanks to the addition of our printworks division, direction has become a one stop for all of your promotional needs.  Tickets for these performances are almost all gone, so be sure to grab yours in order to see Dylan in this intimate setting.

Chicago indie heroes Wilco return home for two shows at the UIC Pavilion.  Due to the first show selling out, a second one had to be added.  We are helping getting the word out on the second show by printing posters through our new direction printworks division, and then distributing them throughout the city to colleges and different neighborhoods. Be sure to get your tickets right away!

A few weeks ago, it was announced that the hit musical will be making its way to Broadway in the Spring.  But don’t worry, because it’s not leaving Chicago just yet. Back for another extension, we’re helping out the show that has grown into a sensation by launching a poster distribution campaign through out the city.  MDQ will be playing through the holiday’s, so be sure to see it before it moves out east!

Ever since the release of last year’s Little Cat Plays the Alpha Rave, Chicago band My My My has seen their star rise significantly.  Between the glowing reviews of their album, and their exciting live performances, they are quickly becoming quite the underground sensation.  That is why we are ecstatic to be working with them again for their upcoming show at the Bottom Lounge.  We will be distributing flyers and posters for this upcoming performance to neighborhoods all over the city.  In addition, we’ll also be passing out flyers at several upcoming concerts, including The Mars Volta, when they make their appearance at the Congress Theater tonight. Don’t be afraid to come say hi to us, and to take a flyer!

My My My plays the Bottom Lounge September 18th.  

Green Day’s much anticipated follow up to the Grammy award winning American Idiot, final arrives on May 15th, along with the start of the 21st Century Breakdown Tour.  With dates scheduled all over the world, and through October, this is looking to be one of the hottest tours of the year.  If you’re near the Chicagoland area, be sure to pick up your tickets when they go onsale this Saturday.

Green Day plays the United Center July 13th.  Tickets go on sale May 16th at 10:00am.  

Back by popular demand, American Theater Company’s production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch has been extended through May 31st!   If you didn’t to see it last time around, you have until the end of the month to catch it.  ”This is a Hedwig like none before” says ATC Artistic Director PJ Paparelli. “Think Blondie meets Bowie.”
