The green, lovable ogre is coming back to Chicago for only six shows this month! After successful runs on Broadway and in Chicago, “Shrek: The Musical” is headed to Rosemont later this month. Media Consultants is bringing back Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and everyone’s favorite cast of real and imaginary characters in this Dreamworks produced musical.

The direction team has been putting up posters and dropping off handbills throughout family friendly locations in a variety of suburbs.

“Shrek: The Musical” will be at the Rosemont Theatre Thanksgiving weekend, two shows a day, November 25 to 27. Tickets are currently available. One of America’s most famous pastry celebrities, Buddy Valastro, The Cake Boss, is taking his show on the road. A mixture of story telling, Q and A, baking demonstrations and for a few lucky audience members, a chance to participate, this tour is great for families that enjoy watching the hit TLC show together.

The worldwide hit music and dance production that was created, choreographed and produced by Michael Flatley is coming to the Rosemont Theatre. The show has been running for over ten years around the world. It’s been so successful a second troupe was added. The production crosses all language and age boundaries, leaving the viewer spellbound for the duration of the show. Advance purchase of tickets is encouraged. The shows will sell out.

The Emmy winners and “Juice Box Heroes” Imagination Movers are bringing their North American tour to Chicago next month. This children’s rock band and children’s television show stars will be performing all their original hits. The group has an early afternoon matinee as well as an early evening show, giving parents two chances to let their children take part in the “In a Big Warehouse” tour.

The direction team has distributed materials for this show for all families at our more children friendly stops. We’ve done a northshore distribution as well as our northwestern, northshore and city kids routes.

The popular Dreamworks children’s film “Madagascar” is coming to the stage next month at the Rosemont Theatre. Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and more will be there. The group have left their home at New York’s Central Park Zoo and are on an unexpected trip back to Africa. This brand new stage show features the classic characters your children have grown to love, original songs and, everyone’s favorite, the penguins.

Last year, Celtic Woman performed two shows at the Chicago Theater. Those in attendance were treated to amazing performances, and are surely looking forward to the latest tour. Did you ever want to  hear the music from Final Fantasy played live by an orchestra and choir?  If your answer is yes, than your dream has come true.  Next month, the award winning music composed by Japanese video game composer Nobuo Uematsu for the legendary gaming series will come to the city for a one night only performance.

We were very excited to receive the call to help promote this spectacular event featuring The Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and the Elmhurst College Concert Choir conducted by Arnie Roth.
