It’s that time of year, and we are excited to be part of the Disney Soccer Showcase in Orlando, FL once again!  Action Marketing Group has put together a stellar series of activities for adidas during the Disney Soccer Showcase, including trying out the latest adiPURE IV soccer shoes in scrimages. In between and after the official games, players are welcome to hang out in the Chelsea’s Players lounge, where there will be foosball tables, flat screen TVs and sports massage therapists to administer massages to the athletes.  We’ve assembeled a great staff of brand ambassadors for AMG to use during these events, and are anticipating a great turnout!

The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, the premier professional beach volleyball tour in the country, boasts the sport’s biggest competitive purse to date, and world-class athletes who have excelled in the outdoor and indoor game.

This summer, AVP returns with their annual summer tour and we’ll be working on the west coast promoting these events, at the Huntington Beach Open!  In addition to being at Huntington Beach doing hand to hand distributions, we’ll also be executing a retail distribution campaign as well. Last year marked the 1st Annual Golf for the Cure event and included numerous TV and radio personalities, sports figures and other influential members of the Chicagoland Community.  At the Promise Awards Dinner, five local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Champions were honored with a Promise Award for their hard work and dedication to the community supporting their mission of finding a cure for breast cancer. The 2nd Annual Golf for the Cure & Promise Award Dinner event will include 18 holes of golf with cart service, lunch, dinner, cocktails, prizes, live and silent auctions, raffle items and live entertainment by the Grammy-Award winning saxophone player, Frank Catalano.

The Chicago Outfit Roller Derby League was founded in the fall of 2007 and is a not-for-profit organization run by the skaters, for the skaters. They are an all-female, flat track, roller derby league based in the city of Chicago and as of September 1, 2009, proud members of the WFTDA Apprentice Program. The Chicago Outfit represents roller derby nationwide with class, sass, and dignity.

Being the huge fans of roller derby that we are, we are very excited to be working with the Chicago Outfit, and have just done our first poster and handbill distribution for their upcoming bout. We’re glad to count them as our new clients, and look forward to working regularly with them in the future.

They’re back!  The ladies of the Windy City Rollers return to the UIC Pavilion this Saturday for their monthly bout! This time around, we’ll see The Fury take on the Hell’s Belles in the first match. Then, to finish of the evening, the Manic Attackers go head to head with the Double Crossers.

The WCR bouts come faster and faster each month for us as we regularly work to promote these events.  Crowds have been steadily increasing for the WCR in their new venue, and we are happy to count them as one of our satisfied clients.  If you haven’t gone yet, be sure to check out the Windy City Rollers this weekend!

Last month, we worked on two incredible events with adidas to roll out their new MiCoach Running System. This week, we’ll be in Boston with Action Marketing Group launching another initiative coinciding with the Boston Marathon. We’ll have teams at the John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo demonstrating the MiCoach system as well as adidas apparel. Outside of the convention we’ll have roaming teams out and about giving away free swag and signing people up for special limited time offers. The weekend of fun will come to end on Monday at the Boston Marathon as we have staff there distributing shirts, yoga mats, and even applying temporary tattoos!

The John Hancock Sports and Fitness Expo is at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston April 16th through the 18th. The Boston Marathon takes place on April 19th.

This Saturday, the Windy City Rollers are ready to bring the ruckus in the third match of the new season! Join the mayhem as the Manic Attackers take on the Hell’s Belles, and the Double Crossers go head to head with The Fury.

The 2010 CARA Lakefront 10 Miler Presented by NovaCare is a flat, fast and scenic course that winds along Chicago’s beautiful Lakefront Trail and is the perfect race to get your 2010 running season off right. Afterwards, be sure to stick around for a  huge post-race party, complete with food, Goose Island beer and music!

We’ll be distributing promo materials for the Lakefront 10 Miler at various sporting goods stores, and sports locations throughout the city of Chicago. Be sure to keep an eye out at your local gym for handbills which list all of the information on the race.

The NBA Allstar Jam Session is in Dallas this coming weekend! We had the pleasure of supporting last year’s events in Phoenix, and this year’s event is sure to be just as fun and exciting!  Hosted by Adidas, the NBA Allstar Jam Session allows fans to play against actually NBA legends.  To help execute these events, we’ll be working in conjunction with our chums over at the Action Marketing Group. If you are in the Dallas area this weekend , be sure to check it out!

As part of their back to school promotion, Adidas has brought their Mall Driver program to four U.S. cities. One of them of course, is Chicago.  Our street teams will be out each weekend in August at high traffic locations distributing stickers which contain locker combinations.  Recipients of these stickers can visit the Adidas Sports Performance store at Water Tower Place Mall, and attempt to open a series of lockers, one of which contains a $500 grand prize gift certificate. Be sure to keep an eye out for us every Saturday and Sunday for your chance to win!
