After performing to a sold out crowd at The Chicago Theatre last summer, Bon Iver is returning to Chicago for a victory lap at the UIC Pavilion. The winter friendly act has been collecting praise from critics since forming in 2007. Four short years later, the group is filling arenas, with a lush sound to match.

The direction staff has been promoting this concert on our college routes, hipster route and outside of shows. We’ve been handing out fliers outside performances from M83, Architecture in Helsinki, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and more.

Dispatch @ UIC Pavilion

Dispatch is kicking off their 2011 summer tour next week and has a stop in Chicago on June 7. This veteran band is donating a portion of every ticket sold to Amplifying Education, a program that music educational programs throughout the U.S. The band is also asking fans to bring a book to the venue to help restock the New Orleans’ Recovery School District libraries.

The direction team has been distributing posters and handbills to Chicago college campuses. We’ve also done some show hits outside of EOTO, Death Cab for Cutie, Ozomatli and Brett Dennen. Direction printworks handled printing for all promotional materials.

Everyone’s favorite sport (yes, it is a sport and if you’ve ever been to a bout you would agree) is coming back to the UIC Pavilion in a few weeks. Chicago’s four teams will compete in an already exciting season. There’s no better way to spend the Easter weekend than at a Windy City Rollers bout. Regardless of age, race or religion, nothing stirs the spirit like watching hardcore athletes skate around a flat track.

The direction staff has been distributing WCR materials throughout the Windy City. The materials are extremely eye-catching and pleasing to both business owners and the public

The Windy City Rollers begin their 2011 season with a return to the UIC Pavilion. Bout 1 of the season consists of two games, Hell’s Belles vs Manic Attackers and The Fury vs Double Crossers. Though it may not seem like it, the Windy City Rollers is fun for the entire family. I’m serious. Roller derby is an awesome sport and the bouts at the UIC Pavilion are age appropriate. It’s the only sport that both a five year old and fifteen year old would enjoy equally.

The direction team has distributed Windy City Rollers materials to our hipster route, college route and bar route.

Futhur @ UIC Pavilion

The Chicago event of the year for all jam band fans is almost here. Furthur, featuring Bob Weir and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, brings their music to the UIC Pavilion on November 12 and 13. These all-ages shows will please both new and old fans of the guitar legends. They’re currently touring with members of the Dark Star Orchestra, RatDog and Benevento/Russo Duo.

We’ve been visiting our hippy friends on the north side of Chicago to promote these two concerts.

They’re back! The ladies of the Windy City Rollers return to the UIC Pavilion this Saturday for their monthly bout! This time around, we’ll see The Fury take on the Hell’s Belles in the first match. Then, to finish of the evening, the Manic Attackers go head to head with the Double Crossers.

The WCR bouts come faster and faster each month for us as we regularly work to promote these events. Crowds have been steadily increasing for the WCR in their new venue, and we are happy to count them as one of our satisfied clients. Not too long ago, we were tasked with printing and distributing materials for Slayer’s performance at the UIC Pavilion on February 5th. Unfortunately, the performance was postponed. But now it has been rescheduled to August! We are working Jam Productions, printing and distributing posters and handbills for this highly anticipated show! Many were disappointed at the news of the cancellation, put now is your chance to see one of the heaviest bands in the world! Tickets are still available, and tickets purchased for the February 5th show will be honored. Well be hitting up a variety of metal shows in Chicago passing out handbills, so be sure to grab one for more details!

At the end of the month, skating insanity will be unleashed at the UIC Pavilion as The Windy City Rollers host their first match of the new decade. Founded 5 years ago, The Windy City Rollers have been gaining quit a bit of momentum as of late thanks to lots of press, a feature film or two about roller derby, and the grassroots fan foundation that started it all.

We’re very excited to be working with The Windy City Rollers on their upcoming matches. Our team will be making the rounds armed with posters and handbills hitting up locations in the city, northshore, and college campuses, so keep keep your eyes peeled, and be sure to check out the ladies of WCR battle it out!

Chicago indie heroes Wilco return home for two shows at the UIC Pavilion. Due to the first show selling out, a second one had to be added. We are helping getting the word out on the second show by printing posters through our new direction printworks division, and then distributing them throughout the city to colleges and different neighborhoods. Be sure to get your tickets right away!

Wilco plays UIC Pavilion October 18th and 19th.
