Can one leave the past behind? Claudia, not her real name, is trying to do just that. After some years spent in a not illustrious position, she’s returned home for a new start. She’s met the man she’ll marry, a youth minister. When someone from her past shows up, questions of love, sexuality and religion arise.
The direction staff has been distributing handbills and hanging posters for this upcoming play throughout the north shore and north side of Chicago. We’ve also added a specialty route to deliver coasters to gastropubs, wine bars and other spirits establishments.
“Hesperia” will be at the 325 Tudor Court location of the Writers Theatre from January 24 to March 18. Tickets are currently available. To purchase seats, see behind the scenes footage, find out about season tickets and more, please visit writerstheatre.org.

The Writers’ Theatre has just begun a run of the Harold Pinter play “The Caretaker.” Part of the theatre’s 20th anniversary, this production featuring Kareem Bandealy, Anish Jethmalani and Bill Norris brings Mick, Aston and Davies to the stage. These three characters form an odd trio, individuals that are trying to connect to the rest of the world with little success. This intimate production takes place in the Writers’ bookstore space.
The direction team has been distributing posters and handbills for this play throughout the suburbs of the north shore of Chicago.
“The Caretaker” will be at the 664 Vernon Ave Writers’ Theatre until March 25. For tickets and more information about the theatre, please visit writerstheatre.org.

Anyone that’s ever tried their hand at theater, writing, film making, song writing, poetry, etc., knows the dillemma of bringing your personal life into your art. There’s a fine line between health and insanity. “The Real Thing,” by Tom Stoppard, is about a playwright watching his real life fall apart. Though heavy, it is funny and the play has won multiple awards. This modern classic opens in a few weeks at the Writers’ Theatre.
The direction team has been distributing posters throughout the north side of Chicago and direction printworks has handled the production of the materials.
“The Real Thing” will be at the Writers’ Theatre September 13 through November 20. Tickets are available now. Please visit writerstheatre.org for tickets for this production and information about other Writers’ productions.

What does it mean to be good? Is it about providing your family with very important material things? Is there anything else? What about time logged? These are the type of questions that “The Detective’s Wife” asks. The Chicago Tribune thinks the questions writer Keith Huff raises are appropriate. “Huff, who looks at these things with a kind of accessible sophistication that I find at once titillating, emotional and infectious, explores it with exciting passion and the kind of intellectual curiosity that keeps an ordinary theatergoer’s skin in the game.”
Direction has extended our north shore distribution of poster and handbills for the Writers’ Theatre.
“The Detective’s Wife” has been extended due to popular demand until August 14 at the Writers’ Theatre. For tickets, show times and clips from the play, please visit writerstheatre.org.

The Writers Theatre in Glencoe recently opened George Bernard Shaw’s most personal and favorite play, “Heartbreak House.” Set in the English countryside, the piece is about a group of friends deciding whether a woman should marry for money or love. Pioneer Press has said, “”Heartbreak House,” populated by characters representing disparate elements in English society who are equally oblivious to the way their world is about to convulse, is part satire and part eulogy about the end of an era.” The 100 year old play still resonates with universal themes of love and money.
Direction has been distributing posters and handbills throughout the north side of Chicago and northern suburbs.
“Heartbreak House” runs until June 26 at 325 Tudor Court in the Writers Theatre. Please visit writerstheatre.org for tickets, showtimes and more information.

Head to the heart of the north shore for Graham Green’s “Travels with My Aunt” at the Writers Theatre. This production, adapted by Giles Havergal, has already received much acclaim from the theater press. WBEZ named actor Sean Fortunato, who appears in this production, as one of the top five actors in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune has called the production “sophisticated and wry”. The ChicagoSun-Times has said that the show is, “a grand tour for its actors”. The show is highly rated and performances are selling out fast. We highly recommend planning a trip to see this rollicking show today!
The direction staff has proudly distributed promotional materials throughout the north side of Chicago and the north shore promoting the play.
“Travels with My Aunt” runs until March 27 at the Writer Theatre in Glencoe. Please visit writerstheatre.org for tickets and information.

Eddie feels like one final hustle could be their biggest take yet. Though their relationship isn’t very typical, neither want to be torn apart. Regardless of the outcome of the score, the real drama is whether or not this family stays together. This production is the second by Brett Neveu commissioned work by the Writers’ Theatre.
The direction staff has distributed promotional materials throughout the northern suburbs in preparation for this play’s debut.
“Do the Hustle” runs January 25 to March 20 at the Writers’ Theatre. Please visit writerstheatre.org for tickets and information.
