These three characters form an odd trio, individuals that are trying to connect to the rest of the world with little success. This intimate production takes place in the Writers’ bookstore space.

Written by Keith Huff (Broadways “A Steady Rain,” and AMC’s “Mad Men”) and directed by Gary Griffin, this new play features Chicago stage star Barbara Robertson.

Alice Conroy is a mother of grown children, an owner of a frame store and the wife of a detective. Her husband isn’t meant for long and is gunned down on the job. “The Detective’s Wife” is about Mrs. Conroy finding out who murdered her husband and why.

Direction has handled the street promotion of this production on Chicago’s north shore.
